Autoimmune Health - When your health feels unpredictable and exhausting

Living with an autoimmune condition can affect far more than the symptoms associated with your diagnosis.

You may experience periods when you feel relatively well, followed by a flare that leaves you exhausted, in pain or wondering what has changed.

Perhaps you have adapted your diet, taken supplements, changed your lifestyle and tried to do all the “right” things, but you still don’t feel as well as you would like.

I understand how frustrating that can be.

I support women living with autoimmune conditions and ongoing health concerns using an individualised, whole-person approach that looks beyond one symptom at a time.

Looking at the Wider Picture

Autoimmune conditions are complex. I don’t believe it is helpful to reduce them to one simple cause or tell you that you just need to manage your stress better. Instead, we look at your individual health picture.

That can include your diagnosis and medical history, current symptoms, energy, sleep, nutrition, hormones, stress, emotional wellbeing and other factors that may be relevant to how you are feeling.

We also look at patterns.

When do you feel better? When do symptoms tend to flare? What else is happening with your health or in your life at those times? What has already been investigated? And is there anything that deserves further medical assessment?

The aim is to help you understand your health more clearly rather than feeling as though your body is simply unpredictable.

Autoimmune Health Support

I have a particular interest in supporting women experiencing:

Autoimmune conditions such as Thyroid and Digestive Health Issues as well as fatigue and recurring flares
Individualised support alongside appropriate medical care when an autoimmune condition is affecting your health, energy and everyday life.
Looking at your wider symptom picture when health issues are affecting your energy, mood, concentration, sleep or general wellbeing.

How I Work

I have more than 25 years’ experience in health and wellbeing, with homeopathy at the heart of my clinical work.

Rather than following a standard protocol based solely on your diagnosis, I take time to understand you. Your symptoms, health history and the wider circumstances of your life.

Where appropriate, homeopathy can form part of your support alongside conventional medical care and other appropriate health and lifestyle support.

About Becca

I’m Becca Scott, a qualified homeopath with more than 25 years’ experience in health and wellbeing and a particular interest in autoimmune, hormonal and gynaecological health.

My interest in autoimmune health is also personal. I have lived with diagnoses of Crohn’s disease, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and lichen sclerosus, as well as experiencing chronic fatigue.

So while everybody’s experience is different, I understand personally how exhausting, frustrating and life-changing ongoing health problems can be.

That experience has shaped the way I work: listening to the whole story, looking for patterns and treating the person in front of me rather than reducing them to their diagnosis.

When Stress, Health and Life Overlap

Many people living with chronic illness notice that their symptoms can feel harder to manage during periods of physical or emotional stress.

That doesn’t mean stress has caused your autoimmune condition.

But I do believe it is worth being curious about what else is happening when you don’t feel well.

Are you sleeping?

Are you constantly pushing through exhaustion?

Are you able to rest without feeling guilty?

Are you carrying everybody else’s needs?

Are you living with ongoing stress or a difficult relationship?

My background in both health and relationship coaching means that, where relevant, we can explore these parts of your life too without assuming that they explain your illness.

Sometimes supporting your wellbeing means looking at more than your diagnosis or symptoms...
